C4WS winter season 2010-11

If you are church please consider helping in one or more of the four ways below during the up and coming Season 8:

1.Host a shelter from November to December 2011. Contact us for more details.

2.Provide Volunteers. Our volunteers, working in three shifts, provide evening meals and fellowship, nighttime supervision and breakfast next day. It is a two-way process with the volunteers seeing their own sense of fellowship develop alongside that of the guests. We provide training and support, and warmly welcome new volunteers onto our teams.

3.Give Money or Fundraise. We have running expenses and also need to raise funds to employ our two essential professional workers, who co-ordinate the shelter and help our guests plan their futures. A number of charitable trusts, both large and small, are very supportive of our work, but we are also very grateful for receipts from planned giving or for individual donations. Alternatively, you may have access to fund-raising expertise which you could offer in support of our own fund-raisers

4. Pray for the shelter. We are an ecumenical project, to which churches or different denominations belong. We do not force our beliefs on the guests, preferring to let our actions speak God`s word. However, we get great strength from our own prayers and those of others. Please pray for us.
